Wiki Version:
Hi all, I finally created an OSF profile and I started sharing the research project I am leading right now, funded by the Research and Development National Agency (ANID) of Chile.
(You can consult other projects where I am, or have been, involved in too [here][1]).

For now, I uploaded some files with basic info of the project application (early 2018). The project started on November 1st, 2018, and it will officially last until November 2021 (3-years-project). You can see the original workplan, but I must acknowledge that COVID-19 pandemic has forced the schedule to stand by. **Current achievements** During the first months of project, 11 schools were enrolled to the project, reaching an initial sample of 320 4-years-old preschoolers (a low number based on initial expectations). Moreover, a multimedia assessment software was designed, in collaboration with [OUTALABS][2]. b4Math is the name of this assessment tool, to be implemented in ANDROID SO tablets. It includes 14 numerical domain-specific tasks in a friendly format for young children. b4Math is being updated for each assessment moment, so it is thought to serve as assessment tool for 4 to 6 y.o. children. Participants were followed up during first year of preschool (March 2018 - December 2018), with 2 domain-specific asssessments (by means of b4Math) and the general-domain assessment. Parental involvement and socioeconomic background were assessed via questionnaires to the participant's families. Pedagogical practices were assessed too, via teachers questionnaires. Finally, I spent a 2 months period in Canada, collaborating with Dr. Jo-Anne LeFevre and Dr. Rebecca Merkley (Carleton U., Ottawa, ON) and Dr. Daniel Ansari (U. Western Ontario, London, ON). During this period, we started designing the training multimedia software that should be tested at the end of this academic year (planned on October, 2019, waiting for pandemic evolution). Collaboration with Dr. María Inés Susperreguy (Pontifica Universidad Católica de Chile) is underway. She is strongly collaborating with home environment considerations. Also, we are collaborating in some other issues out of the project. **Changes in workplan due to COVID-19 PANDEMIC** I wish I had something to tell about how we are going to get over pandemic delays and difficulties. As Chile is reaching its peak of pandemic issues we are confined and no educational establishments are operating. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the projects are the following: - Participants domain-specific assessments (time 3, beginning of the second academic year of the project) could not be applied. I can not tell right now if we will be able to conduct it. - Designing of the multimedia training software is getting slow due to confinement issues. It was planned to be piloted on July - August 2020, but we have not date for that at this moment. **Preregistrations of project research papers** I must acknowledge that 2 research papers were already submitted on the last weeks. None of them were preregistered or preprinted, so I will be back on this when I have something to tell about them. I am getting aware of the relevance and benefits of preprints and preregistrations. I never used any of these publishing modalities but I will start now. I am working in a paper with Dr. Cristina Rodríguez (U. de la Laguna, Spain) and MsC Carola Briones (U. Católica de la Santísima Concepción, Chile), about the relation of number representational systems. I will share the preprint the next week (hopefully). Of course, I will use OSF and PsyArXiv for that purpose, and I will let you know when updating files. I will be back over here with changes, hopefully with schedule arrangements after this pandemic period. Chris. [1]: http://www.cpeakem.com/research-projects/ [2]: https://outalabs.cl/
