Description: Patients with end-stage renal disease are at high risk of developing foot complications including ulceration, amputation, infection and ischaemia, which can lead to hospital admission. Preventive and management foot care services are often recommended. Currently, there is no evidence synthesis of research reporting interventions for dialysis patients who are at risk of, or currently have, foot complications. Initially a systematic review was planned (Prospero ID 91268), however given the broad range of studies identified through the initial search, a scoping review was acknowledged to be more appropriate and is being conducted. Findings from this scoping review will aid clinicians who care for patients with end-stage renal disease and help guide future research priorities in this field.
