Wiki Version:
The purpose of the lexicon is to be an accompanying tool to ARTEM-IS, and it should contain terminology used in the template (rather than an extensive vocabulary of EEG terms). We plan to eventually host the lexicon on NIDM terms lexicon platform: https://nidm-terms.github.io/ What the process looks like: 1. We have been extracting terms from the template into this sheet (column A): ARTEM-IS lexicon worksheet - Google Sheets 2. We try to keep the terminology compliant with BIDS, Interlex, and COBIDAS dictionaries, but we are open to improvements and discussions about term selection. This is why we have been looking for definitions there first (columns B-C, E), but also checking whether we are happy with them (column D). 3. If we are not happy with existing definitions or we cannot locate them in relevant lexicons, we create a new one (column F). 4. Column G is for comments and column F for logging your contribution for the purposes of later knowing who has done what. 5. Two reviewers review and provide suggestions on how to improve or correct a definition. 6. One editor of makes final decisions based on suggestions. 7. Once we are happy with this set of definitions, we get in touch with NIDM-Terms team to set up a new lexicon for us on their platform, and we add our lexicon there (which will be a whole other stage of this process with multiple steps and contributors). **Contribution rules:** anyone who takes part in the process of creating the lexicon (from extracting the terms from ARTEM-IS to locating existing definitions to formulating new definitions where the existing ones are missing, to reviewing and editing, and finally setting up the lexicon on NIDM terms) gets appropriate credit and authorship.
