Results Supplement for “The Dual Mechanisms of Cognitive Control (DMCC) Project” by Todd S. Braver, Alexander Kizhner, Rongxiang Tang, Michael C. Freund, and Joset A. Etzel Paper Citation: Braver, T. S., Kizhner, A., Tang, R., Freund, M. C., & Etzel, J. A. (2021). The Dual Mechanisms of Cognitive Control Project. Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience, 33(9), 1990-2015. Published paper: https://doi.org/10.1162/jocn_a_01768 Pre-print version: https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.09.18.304402v1 With the exception of the multivariate analyses (see below), all manuscript statistics and figures are in three knitr (https://yihui.org/knitr/) files. The main results are in Braver2021supplemental_main.pdf, the results in the "Control Analyses" section of the results are split between Braver2021supplemental_control.pdf (for control analyses with 80 participants) and withDMCC55B/Braver2021supplemental_DMCC55B.pdf (for analyses with the DMCC55B participants; [dataset here][1] and [description here][2]). The code for each file is in its corresponding .rnw file. The input files needed to compile each knitr document are in the "requiredFiles" directories on this site, one for each document. (For example, to compile Braver2021supplemental_main.pdf, download Braver2021supplemental_main.rnw and the "requiredFiles" directory.) Then edit the paths in the startup code chunk to match the location of the downloaded files. These lines of code are marked with "# CHANGE THIS:" comments for easy identification. Several files (primarily for gifti image plotting) are not in requiredFiles and must be downloaded separately; URLs for these files are in the comments. The .R "prep" files contain the code used to write the files in the "requiredFiles" directories. This code can't be run except by DMCC project members, but is included for completeness. Code and summarized input data for multivariate analyses ("Baseline Condition: Neural Pattern Similarity" and "Relationship to Proactive"; Figures 3 and 7) are hosted on github, at https://github.com/mcfreund/reactrljocn2021.
