Description: Open source statistical computing tools, like R, are transforming data analytic practices in psychology. Practices for programming experiments to display stimuli, and collect and record participant responses, on the other hand, are relatively opaque. It is clear that a number of researchers are switching to free open source alternatives, like PsychoPy, LiveCode Community and jsPsych, for developing and running computer-based experiments online and in the lab (e.g., https://twitter.com/SearstonR/status/1059963765704351749). But propriety tools and software are still very popular and widely used. This community project is intended as a shared space for collecting and linking example projects with open experiment scripts that make use of open source tools for developing computer-based experiments in psychology. Each component includes resources and examples for a particular programming environment. Feel free to edit the open wiki pages with additional links, information, and resources about each of these tools. To link your own OSF projects with example scripts or to add another component based on an open tool for programming experiments, please email: rachel.searston@gmail.com to be added as a contributor. Please also share any ideas for making these resources more accessible and useful to the general research community in the open comments or via email.
