Wiki Version:
This project examines the role of stimulus identification (discriminability) in generalization of associative learning. NSW19 and NSW21 are reported as Experiments 1 and 2 in the paper: Lovibond, P. F., Lee, J. C., & Hayes, B. K. (2020). Stimulus discriminability and induction as independent components of generalization. *Journal of Experimental Psychology: Learning, Memory, and Cognition, 46(6)*, 1106-1120. http://dx.doi.org/10.1037/xlm0000779 Experiments: * NSW19 - this experiment measured generalization and identification gradients. Participants either completed single cue or differential training. * NSW21 - this experiment measured generalization and identification gradients following differential training. Participants were either asked to identify the CS+ or the CS-. * NSW24 - this experiment measured generalization in the "absolute identification" procedure. Participants either completed single cue or differential training.
