Description: We have launched a new consortium, the Externalizing Consortium, that will use multivariate analyses of large-scale genome-wide association studies (GWAS) with the goals of (a) estimating the genetic factors underlying the externalizing spectrum, (b) identifying genes involved in a shared underlying liability to externalizing psychopathology versus genes that are unique to specific externalizing phenotypes, (c) increasing the predictive ability of polygenic scores and yield improved phenotype-specific summary statistics for specific externalizing phenotypes that are currently available in only relatively small samples.
