Wiki Version:
General info: - The following participant numbers were recorded: [1, 3:30]. Due to an error during recording, no data were recorded as 'participant 2'. Therefore the numbers go from 1 to 30 with 2 missing, instead of 1-29. - 29 had missing data and was therefore excluded. - 25 had no behavioural data recorded due to a recording error and is therefore not present in the behavioural data. - 14 and 18 were excluded due to grossly non-conforming psychometric functions in the behavioural task. Data format: - EEG -> ERP -> grandavg: This folder contains group level data for the main ERP results in standard fieldtrip format, for each condition. Importantly, the field 'individual' in the struct 'grandavg' includes the average of all trials in the format subjects x channels x time. - EEG -> ERP -> peaks: This folder contains the extracted peak values separately for each condition and each peak. The first column contains participant numbers for the purpose of matching with the behavioural data. The second and third columns contain the active and passive peak values. Provided as .mat and .csv format. - EEG -> Supplement: This folder contains group level data for the Auditory Confound section in the supplement in standard fieldtrip format, for each condition. Importantly, the field 'individual' in the struct 'grandavg' includes the average of all trials in the format subjects x channels x time. - Behaviour -> Thresholds: This folder contains the thresholds (points of subjective equality) of the psychometric functions. The first column contains participant numbers for the purpose of matching with the behavioural data. The second and third columns contain the active and passive thresholds. Provided as .mat and .csv format. - Behaviour -> Preprocessed: This folder contains the total number of trials and the proportion of 'second louder/brighter' responses for each stimulus intensity. The total number of trials and proption of 'second louder/brighter' responses are stored in separate files. The format of each file is stimulus intensities (1:5) x conditions (active, passive) x participants. How to use: - Download files - The scripts need to be placed in the same folder as the appropriate data. All scripts except behaviour_stats_figs.m go in EEG -> ERP -> grandavg. behaviour_stats_figs goes into behaviour -> preprocessed.
