Wiki Version:
Under "Files" ("OSF storage") you may find demonstrations of the ambiguous motion stimuli used in the study "Does task relevance shape the 'shift to global' in ambiguous motion perception?". Both .avi and .webm versions are included. In order to view an example of successive trials or continuous presentation the .avi files should be played in a loop (e.g. in VLC media player). A demonstration of the actual stimuli employed in the study is "relevance_stimulus_trial" and "RelevanceStudyStimuliDemo". The continuous demo version (displayed at the start of each experiment to ensure that the participant experienced the difference between both percepts), as well as a version of the stimuli by Anstis and Kim (2011) are included as well. The stimulus.py file will allow you to view and adapt the size of the stimulus yourself in Python.
