Description: Outer self-awarness will correlate with depressive symptoms (H1). Moreover, the relationship will me mediated by the intrapersonal (anger in) and interpersonal (anger out) mechanism of anger (H2). Moreover, numerous studies have shown (Garnefski et al, 2004; Nolen-Hoeksemaand & Aldao, 2011; Martins et al., 2016) that women use such emotion regulation strategies as self-blame and blame others more often than men. There exist gender differences in the relationship between the use of the self-regulatory strategy of self-blame vs. blaming others and the level of depression (Fajkowska, 2017). For this reasons, we assume that the mediation effect of anger in and out will occur or will be stronger in women (moderated mediation).
