Description: This series of studies continues to investigate individual differences in the experience of elevation (an emotion associated with prosocial behavior), using the Attitude-Scenario-Emotion framework (Gervais & Fessler, in press) to investigate candidate attitudes that potentiate elevation. This series compares egocentric and allocentric framings of our attitude measure. These studies are called Studies 5 to 9 in our report, "Elevation, an emotion for prosocial contagion, is experienced more strongly by those with greater expectations of the cooperativeness of others."
