Description: This project documents the pilot phase of the “Understanding AI in the Workplace” study. The pilot was conducted as an independent initiative in April 2025 while Eric P. Rhodes was a graduate student at Rutgers University’s School of Management and Labor Relations. The study explores how artificial intelligence and automation are reshaping workers' roles, routines, and relationships with their jobs, with a focus on emotional, relational, and organizational impacts such as stress, surveillance, collaboration, autonomy, and meaning. This component includes a public Methods Note detailing the pilot survey design, ethical considerations, preliminary insights, and plans for subsequent phases of research.
