Category: Project

Description: This project will look at developing an application and methodology to assist consumers and other stakeholders in their quest to obtain permits from a municipality in a more expedient and direct manner regardless of a typical municipality’s often bureaucratic and siloed nature. This project was born out of the City of Kansas City’s desire to resolve ongoing complaints about the difficulty of navigating the permitting process particularly as it relates to plumbing permits, and the various permits they have to seek from various departments in the City depending on the specific plumbing project and location. The intent of this project is to initially start off with plumbing permits, then move to other types of permits thereafter.
