Description: Here, we tested the hypothesis that zebrafish exposed to MS222 would show short and long term cognitive deficits. We also tested the hypothesis that older fish would show a more extreme deficit. We found that although younger (6 month) fish showed a cognitive deficit 1 day after exposure, this disappeared by 1 week post-exposure. In the ageing fish (24 months) we saw no effects of the drug on cognition.
