This repository contains the companion files to the article "Changes *in the midst of* a construction network: A diachronic construction grammar approach to complex prepositions denoting internal location" (to appear in *Cognitive Linguistics*) The code is available in the form of html notebooks. The version of R that was used is 4.1.2. To make the workflow understandable to the reader, the code is deliberately redundant. Some of the techniques used here are explained either in my book *Corpus Linguistics and Statistics with R: Introduction to Quantitative Methods in Linguistics* (Springer, 2017) or my research notebook *Around the Word* (https://corpling.hypotheses.org/).
