Description: Examine and summarize the available scientific literature on the childbirth experience of pregnant women living with the HIV virus and the factors that determine it. The rate of HIV infection has been increasing in recent years among women. With the decrease in vertical transmission of the HIV virus as well as a broad incentive for the humanization of childbirth, a positive experience of childbirth has been increasingly sought for pregnant women and it would not be different with women living with the HIV virus. Quite the contrary, a positive birth experience is even more important to encourage neonatal care and monitoring of mother and baby in Infectious Diseases services. This study is a scoping review of the literature, based on the flowchart proposed by PRISMA (Main items to report in reviews). This review aims to map the available evidence on the childbirth experience of pregnant women living with the HIV virus from 2013 to 2023.
