Description: After finding no difference in the S-goal associations between motor interference and non-interference conditions, we conclude that S-goal associations take precedence over S-R associations in this paradigm. However, our previous designs always tested S-goal associations in opposition to S-R associations, possibly obscuring compatibility effects on the S-R level and thereby leading to an incorrect conclusion that S-R associations are irrelevant. Therefore, we address these issues in a further experiment.
