Description: This study aims to determine the frequency and context of disempowering language in online patient education materials for people living with type 1 diabetes using summative content analysis. Summative content analysis include two parts: 1) Phase 1 - manifest content analysis, and 2) Phase 2 - latent content analysis.
The research uses Summative Content Analysis to determine the frequency and context of disempowering language in online patient education materials (PEMs) for people living with type 1 diabetes (T1D). Summative Content Analysis involves two steps:
