The files contained in this project can be used to re-create the analyses for the article "Rising Intragenerational Occupational Mobility in the United States, 1969 to 2011", published in the June 2017 issue of the American Sociological Review.

The code component contains scripts and programs written for the Stata statistical software.

The data component contains occupational crosswalks referenced by the code component. Because of our agreements with the PSID and IPUMS, we do not provide copies of theses data in this component, but we provide documentation of the relevant variables so that other researchers may download these data themselves, under their own agreements with the institutions hosting the PSID and IPUMS data.
