Description: The Skyline study investigates the effect of long-term (4 weeks) exposure to self-efficacy and response-efficacy messages on adult smokers’ smoking behaviour and attitudes. This is an experiment with two conditions (efficacy vs control messages) and two parts: a main one in which participants receives the efficacy messages and complete surveys on their phones during 4 weeks, and a second part consisting in an EEG experiment taking place at the start and at the end of the 4-week intervention. The primary outcomes for the main part are the self-reported self-efficacy, response-efficacy, responses to warnings and quit attempts, and for the second part the EEG evoked attentional and emotional markers in response to smoking health warnings and smoking cues.
