Wiki Version:
Welcome to the Open Science Framework repository for our literature synthesis of maternal alcohol drinking behaviors related to FASD. Please read this list for a description of the files in this repository. Instructions data synthesis FASD & Behaviour.docx provides an overview of the review process (including query development, screening inclusion and exclusion criteria, application of the ascendancy and descendancy approaches, and the data extraction). For more detail, we have kept an extensive log of the research process (albeit in Dutch). This file documents all steps and decisions in the process, and is called Logboek Review maternal drinking behaviors related to FASD.docx. Furthermore, an in depth overview of the search queries that we used in the different databases and interfaces, and the instruction for the screening and data extraction are available in the following file Query Review Maternal behaviors related to FASD.docx. Moreover, the NOS Quality Assessment Guideline can be found here NOS adjusted checklist quality of studies_Roozen et al..docx All results can be found in the tables and figures: - Figure 1. Two examples of possible dose-response relationships between maternal alcohol consumption and probability of fillial FASD - Figure 2. Flow chart included studies - Table 1. Overview of characteristics of included studies in this review - Table 2. Conclusions made by authors of included studies on maternal drinking behaviors and FASD - Table. Overview NOS Scores. Roozen et al..xlsx - Table X. Recommendations for the assessment of maternal alcohol consumption If you want to more closely inspect our data analysis, you can find all documents here (we use the excellent metafor package by Wolfgang Viechbauer, as well as an in progress package, metabefor, for processing the queries, screening, and extracted datafiles): - fasd - combine extracted articles - RQ2.r rq2_prescreening.bibtex - rq2_screening1_combined.bibtex - rq2_screening2_combined.bibtex - rq2_screening3_combined.bibtex fasd - extraction template - RQ2.r - effectsizes.csv - Alcohol use variables.csv - Crosstabs.txt Furthermore: We extracted the data directly into R source code files, each of which has the publication's bibtex key as filename PRISMA checklist can be found here: FASD Review_PRISMA 2009 Checklist.pdf
