Description: A diet enriched for medium chain fatty acids and supplemented with L-carnitine has been shown to partially rescue a murine model of NF1 muscle weakness. This model features intramyocellular lipid accumulation. In this study we aim to examine the relative importance specific components of the aforementioned intervention as well as the time frame for therapeutic efficacy and phenotypic relapse after the cessation of therapy.
