Description: Parallel to feasibility and cost-effectiveness, acceptability is evident in debates concerning the choice of healthcare interventions and policies. The concept of healthcare acceptability cuts across a wide spectrum of health sciences including environmental health. Patients and communities are more likely participate in environmental health interventions perceived to be more acceptable. Nevertheless, acceptability remains confusing without a collective definition in existing literature. This study aimed to create a consensus among experts in order to: (1) propose a common definition; and (2) provide a shared conceptual framework of healthcare acceptability.
