Description: The (raw) datasets linked to our manuscript, entitled "Literacy improves short-term serial recall of spoken verbal but not visuospatial items - Evidence from illiterate and literate adults" and accepted for publication in Cognition (December 20 2018), are disclosed here. We also added supplementary data files: 1) A comparison between IQ-matched subgroups 2) Correlation between verbal immediate serial recall (Hebb) and rapid word-naming abilities in 91 illiterate adults 3) Serial Position effects
