This project contains data, scripts, and experimental materials for "Tracking the Eye of the Beholder: Is Explanation Subjective?" by Stewart, Singmann, Haigh, Wood, & Douven. The main files are the main analysis script (as an R Markdown file `analysis_paper.Rmd`) and corresponding output `analysis_paper.html`. To run the analysis scripts the data from the data component as well as several R packages listed in the file are necessary. `Experimental items.txt` contains the full list of items used in this study. The encoding of this text file is `UTF8`. The `Additional Analysis` components contain additional (i.e., extended) analyses. This analyses utilize additional data transformation and IVs and show the robustness of the results reported in the manuscript.
