Description: +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The project has two aims: Aim 1: Adapt the Cognitive Effort Discounting Paradigm (COG-ED, Westbrook et al., 2013) to be independent of objective task load, and conceptually replicate its findings related to Need for Cognition. The new paradigm is called Cognitive and Affective Discounting (CAD) Paradigm. Aim 2: Apply the CAD paradigm to emotion regulation strategies, in order to validate it for tasks which have no objective load. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ For knitting the manuscripts with RMarkdown and re-running the analysis, please use the structure of our Github repository (https://github.com/ChScheffel/CAD). +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
