Category: Project
Description: The project investigates how different levels of workload affect auditory attention, cognitive resource allocation and the experience of flow in a game-based task. Thirteen participants took part in the electroencephalographic study, which was designed to induce states of mental underload, overload and flow. An implicit auditory oddball task was included as a secondary task to assess available attentional resources. Subjective measures, including the NASA Task Load Index and the Flow Short Scale, and behavioural performance measures were regularly assessed. The OSF repository includes information about the study, access to the associated Git repository to replicate the data collection and analyses, and the dataset after approval of the request for data use.
