To reproduce the analyses put all R Scripts containing functions (from the multiverse functions folder) into the same folder as the data and the analysis script you want to run. The analysis scripts also load the packages required for the multiverse functions to run. Please note that the permutation-testing based part of the specification curve analysis ran for multiple days.
If you plan to re-use the multiverse functions, please cite the associated paper. Also be advised that the multiverse functions require factors to be recoded to integers. Moreover, we advise against using the multiverse anova function used in Study 1 and instead recommend to use the multiverse anova function used in Study 2. They depend on different functions to run the ANOVAs, and in some circumstances (having empty cells), the function in Study 1 will throw an error, whereas the function in Study 2 will simply exclude the participant (meaning you save time by using the functions from Study 2). Finally, we caution readers against using the multiverse.t.test2 function we used to calculate t-tests on the difference scores for any other purpose than reproducing the results of the present study (same problem as the anova function in Study 1).
