Description: "The fishing trip" is a child-friendly picture book created for research purposes. The book tells the story of two friends, a pig and a crocodile, who goes fishing. On their way to the lake, the friends discover various objects, some familiar and some novel. The book was originally created for a word learning project in two-year-olds (https://doi.org/10.1017/S0305000921000520), in which the illustrations were paired with a written narrative. However, the illustrations can easily tell a story without words, or be edited or shuffled around to accommodate varying needs. The full book (ready to print!), individual illustrations (including stand-alone files of the familiar and novel objects), original version with Norwegian text, and a video file where the novel objects are slightly animated can all be found under ‘Files’. The book is shared under a CC-BY-NC 4.0 license, meaning it can be freely shared and used for non-commercial purposes, with credit to the original creators.
