Description: The aim of this study is to compare skilled game gambling machines and slot machines in terms of player preference and intention to play and understanding of the roles of chance vs. skill. The research questions include: • Do slot machines and skilled game gambling machines differ in their game appeal? • Do attitudes towards slot machines and skilled game gambling machines differ? • Do subjective norms towards slot machines and skilled game gambling machines differ? • Does intention to play slot machines and skilled game gambling machines differ? • Does the level of perceived skill involved in slot machines and skilled game gambling machines differ? • Do irrational/erroneous gambling related beliefs regarding slot machines and skilled game gambling machines differ? • Do the above areas of interest differ as a function of past experience with skilled game gambling machines/slots, demographic characteristics (e.g. age), problem gambling severity, or existing irrational beliefs about gambling in general?
