Description: The sexual response comprises different stages: desire, arousal, orgasm, and resolution (Levin, 2021). The Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI; Rosen et al., 2000) is the widely used scale for assessing the sexual response in women. The FSFI has been translated into multiple languages and validated in different populations, mainly demonstrating strong criterion validity across studies (Neijenhuijs et al., 2019). In Chile, previous studies (Blümel et al., 2004) exhibit several deficiencies and limitations in sampling and analysis procedures. Consequently, the present study aims to address these shortcomings by conducting systematic research using a representative sample, estimating reliability, and including evidence of validity.
