Wiki Version:
Artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots are emerging educational tools for students. However, to be adopted in educational settings, it is necessary to know their performance. Previous evidence reported a high performance of AI chatbots, mainly in medical education exams for students in training. Exams for entry into the university in health sciences degrees and the comparison between multiple AI chatbots are under-investigated. This study aimed to assess the performance of three AI chatbots (ChatGPT-4, Microsoft Bing and Google Bard) in the Italian entrance standardized examination test of healthcare science degrees. Secondarily, we assessed the narrative coherence of the AI chatbots’ responses.
