Wiki Version:
The majority of studies in neuroscience are statistically underpowered. It it not so well known that low power reduces the likelihood that a statistically significant result reflects a true effect in the population. But believe me, it does! With this project I want to show, that the average statistical power of studies in neurorehabilitation science is also very low! The consequences of this often include overestimates of effect size and a low reproducibility of results. And the problem also has ethical dimensions...!
