Description: In complex head nouns (e.g., the key to the cabinets...), conflict may arise regarding the grammatical number of the noun. It has been hypothesised that resolving such conflict calls on executive control processes. We have proposed a method to test the role of executive control in the comprehension of such sentences by requiring an additional choice response simultaneous to resolution of the conflict.
