Description: We conducted an observational study to identify patterns of mask (non)adherence amongst UCSD Tritons (UCSD = 913) & San Diegans (n = 241) during the COVID19 pandemic summer of 2020. Most notably, we found that men were less likely to wear a mask than women, men who WERE wearing a mask were less likely to wear it properly over their nose, women & men of reproductive age wore masks less when walking with someone of the opposite sex, but women were most likely to wear their masks when walking in a group with more men than women. #WearAMask, or 2.
