Wiki Version:
Video available at [youtu.be/PTO78zxkEtM](https://youtu.be/PTO78zxkEtM). This webinar from Oct 2017 introduces the OSF's Application Programming Interface (API), demonstrates some of the interactions that are possible to script using that interface directly, and explores the osf-cli. The osf-cli is a free software tool built to make the capabilities of the OSF's API available through a command line client. The OSF is a free, open source web application built to help researchers manage their workflows. The OSF is part collaboration tool, part version control software, and part data archive. The OSF connects to popular tools researchers already use, like Dropbox, Box, Github and Mendeley, to streamline workflows and increase efficiency. The webinar was lead by Erin Braswell, Infrastructure Developer at COS, and Tim Head, developer of [osf-cli](https://github.com/dib-lab/osf-cli) and head of Wild Tree Technologies.
