Description: In a visual search experiment, observers (Os) will make errors. In previous online experiments of T-vs-L search, we have found that highlighting the positions of all the items in a search display could reduce the number of errors. In this experiment, we want to use eye tracking to find out the mechanics of this error reduction. We are going to explore whether highlighting the positions of the items reduces search errors or identification errors.
