Description: A systematic review will be undertaken to evaluate how gut health is characterized in research. The objectives of the proposed work are (1) to characterize measures and indicators of gut health that are currently being applied, and (2) quantify which diseases and health states for which gut health is a major area of research. Results from successful completion of the objectives will inform research and interventions to support a healthy state of gut health for patients.
