Description: Ever since the introduction of social media, such as Facebook and Instagram, researchers have attempted to investigate how the use of those platforms affects adolescents’ well-being. This survey study will employ a national sample of Dutch 14- to 15-year-olds to establish the social media use and well-being of this age group and to investigate the relationship between adolescent’s social media use and well-being. The study is also meant to contribute to empirically substantiated decisions on the design of future studies on adolescents’ social media use and well-being, including survey studies and Experience Sampling Method (ESM) studies. This national survey is part of Project AWeSome (https://osf.io/38qcg/).
