**Understanding My Data Management Role: How to Comply with the NIH Policy** ----------------------------------------------------- **Description** The Longwood Medical Area (LMA) Research Data Management Working Group (RDMWG) offers regular online seminars for various research data management (RDM) topics. This seminar on "Understanding My Data Management Role: How to Comply with the NIH Policy" was offered on August 17, 2022. Data management responsibilities extend beyond just the PI or researcher who created or collected the data. Various parties are involved in the research process and may play a role in ensuring good quality data stewardship. It is essential that the roles and responsibilities of data management are clearly defined and assigned, rather than assumed. During this short training seminar, we will discuss what role you can play in your lab regarding data management and how that role can assist with compliance under the NIH’s new Data Management and Sharing Policy. **Webinar Speaker** Sarah Hauserman, Research Data Management Analyst, Research Computing, Harvard Medical School **Webinar Materials** [Presentation Slides (PDF)][1] [Presentation with Notes (PDF)][2] @[youtube](https://youtu.be/ez4ikPAgdYk) [1]: https://osf.io/qeh7b [2]: https://osf.io/v8w9e
