Wiki Version:
Follow these detailed instructions, and direct any questions to Managing Executive Editor, Jon Grahe. Authors earning Open Data Badges should create a component on their OSF page called Data (or Data and Analyses). 1. upload all data necessary to reproduce the results. there should be documentation so that independent researchers can easily access the data and understand which variables in the data set match which variables in the manuscript. 2. add to the Wiki (or in an uploaded file) any further instructions or considerations for independent researchers 3. add the self-disclosure statement meeting the [COS criteria][1] on the Wiki 4. register the page. To register the page, see "badge-registration-instructions.pptx" slide show on the main page. Before registering a page, remember that this is a permanent act. Please consult the editor before completing the registration process and make sure final project is complete so as to avoid multiple registrations of same project. 5. include a footnote in the manuscript at the beginning of the Results section and add a self-disclosure statement meeting the [COS criteria][2] that directs the reader to a "registered" version of the OSF project (either overall or to the specific data component) > COS Self-Diclosure Criteria for Open Data > > Open Data: Authors complete two disclosure items for each Open Data > badge application: > > Provide the URL, DOI, or other permanent path for accessing the data > in a public, open access repository. Is there sufficient information > for an independent researcher to reproduce the reported results? If > no, explain.
