Wiki Version:
**We invite you to send an email to our lead Methodologist: Eric Lam – erlam@ohri.ca to confirm your interest in collaborating on this project.** Please note we intend to do all data re-coding on our end. All we would require from you is a de-identified copy of your data in SPSS, Excel, CSV, or any other format, along with a data dictionary if available. We anticipate that this will be of low burden to you and your team. **Obtaining ethics approval to share data** The transfer of data (anonymized) for use in our IPD meta-analysis has been approved by the Research Ethics Board at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (Protocol ID#: 20190664-01H). **Contribution Agreement** Once authors have confirmed their interest to contribute their data, we will send out our data contribution agreement formed to be signed before the data sharing process begins. [Data contribution form can be found here.][1] Based on institutional policies, when necessary, a data sharing agreement between the institution and the OHRI will be obtained ([Example can be found here][2]). **What kind of data is being collected?** De-identified study data including liver lesions that were assessed according to the LIRADS (Liver Imaging Reporting and Data System) classification (arterial phase enhancement, wash out (not peripheral), enhancing capsule and threshold growth) and the signal intensity of the lesion on the hepatobiliary phase. The major imaging features as well as ancillary features that favor malignancy will be included. Also included is corresponding information such as presence of pathology, surgery and other imaging such as CT scans. Related lab values will also be included. [Data extraction sheet can be downloaded here.][3] **Data Management and Access - REDCap®** We understand that data security is important, as is the assurance that data will be used appropriately to a good end. Data will be imported to the secure web platform database, REDCap®, hosted by the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute, where only our team’s local investigators will have access to this database. → Authors can download our REDCap® instruments (various pages, variable names, and codes) from the REDCap® Shared Library repository and import our instruments to their own REDCap® database under the following instrument names: - LI-RADS IPD Group – MRI Data - LI-RADS IPD Group – CT Data - LI-RADS IPD Group – CEUS Data - LI-RADS IPD Group – Demographic Information → [How to import documents from the REDCap Shared Library][4] [Our data dictionary, which provides definitions for variables is available here.][5] [Author FAQ is also available here.][6] **Exporting data** Once you have downloaded the LI-RADS IPD Group instruments from the REDCap® shared library, we ask this to be filled with the respective individual patient data if available. If you have data in a different format, you can provide it to us and we can re-code it if necessary. **Note:** We can also share the data extraction sheet, and data dictionary separately by email if your institution does not use REDCap®. **Authorship** Articles from the LIRADS IPD Registry will be submitted for publication in peer-reviewed journals. Authorship will be based on current guidelines. Investigators who provide data to the registry will be invited to be authors of the meta- analyses assuming they meet criteria for authorship (e.g. provide input on protocol design and manuscript editing/ approval). **Disclaimer:** Although we would like to be as transparent as possible in every aspect of this project, we are unable to share our IPD REDCap® database as our REB only allows for a one-way transfer of data.
