Description: Comparative study of the properties of naturally occurring autobiographical memories evoked by music and television in 657 UK adults, funded by the Leverhulme Trust

We used quota sampling to recruit participants representative of the UK adult population in terms of age, gender, and household income. Participants reported details of a recent music-evoked autobiographical memory and a recent televison-evoked autobiographical memory, including descriptions of the memory content, ratings of the retrieval characteristics, and emotional responses.
