Description: This repository contains the data, code, and materials for the project "Multiple pathways to widespread fears: Disentangling idiosyncratic fear generalization mechanisms using computational modeling." It includes scripts for data cleaning and analysis, functions for running computational simulations, and documentation describing the methods and results. All materials are provided in an open and transparent manner in accordance with the principles of open science. Human generalization research aims to understand the processes underlying the transfer of prior experiences to new contexts. Generalization research predominantly relies on descriptive statistics, assumes a single generalization mechanism, interprets generalization from mono-source data, and disregards individual differences.
