**Can I Use Your Data? Data Management Fundamentals** -------------------------------------------------------- **Description**: This first of two data management sessions will give a brief explanation of the benefits and requirements related to the management and sharing of research data, and and the key concepts and practices through the data lifecycle. We’ll then have a group discussion of data problems encountered and data management needs. The session will end with a round up of resources and contacts to help with data management. **Learning Objectives**: - Recognize the benefits and requirements related to the management and sharing of research data - Critique project workflows for planning, managing and sharing data - Explain key concepts and practices for managing research data - Find resources and contacts for data management **Slides**: https://osf.io/a7cbv <br> **Setting Yourself Up For Success: Data Management Workflows & Tools** ---------------------------------------------------------------------- **Description**: Building on the first data management session, we will review tools and strategies for managing and sharing data that can integrated into a project workflow to enhance and maintain better data management. We’ll have time to demo and work through a few activities with three platforms that can be used throughout a project to support data management: DMPTool, protocols.io, and Open Science Framework.
