Wiki Version:
- Stimuli have been **matched for**: number of syllables (all monosyllabic) number of letters number of phonemes BNC Frequency (and log of the frequency) Ortographic Neighbourhood Phonemic Neighbourhood Concreteness ratings Cortese Imageability ratings Age of Acquisition - We started with a first list of 100+100 verbs - Then reduced to 69 motor and 66 non-motor verbs (by just manually trying to match them for all psycholinguistic variables). This list was then used as input for the Match software - After Match: output list of 40+40 verbs We removed 4 verbs from each group because imageability ratings were still significantly different, resulting in a list of *36+36 verbs* *These stimuli were then used in the PILOT study*
