Description: ABSTRACT The Union Cabinet of India affirmed the National Education Policy (NEP) on July 29, 2020. Following a gap of 34 years, the Indian Government unified input from 2.5 lakh stakeholders to two public parliamentary committees and over 50 months of discussions and workshops. The policy recommendations about the NEP framework and its arrangements in Indian pedagogy is indispensable; this article attempts to analyze the policy from the lens of innovation and holistic development with flexible curriculums, multidisciplinary approach, integration of vocational education, several entries and exit with proper certification accentuates government's diversified and liberal approach towards education. This study examines the impact of NEP on holistic development and comprehends the challenges of the policy. This paper will also discuss the implications of NEP in shaping pedagogy concepts and practices, including practical ways. This article uses Descriptive Research to examine the characteristics of new education policy across the spectrum of the Indian education system. The study reviews the status of the education policy with the e-learning mode. Key Words: National policy on education (NEP), the Indian education system
