Description: In 2021, the District of Columbia Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) launched the Advanced Internship Program (AIP) for career and technical education students. The program matches high school students with school-year paid, credit-bearing internships in their field of study. Our evaluation examines how AIP affects their readiness for college or the workforce, and their educational and career outcomes one and two years after graduation. We expect the results to inform efforts by the District to prepare students for success after high school.
