Description: Rachmad, Yoesoep Edhie. 2023. Viral Content Propagation Theory. Cairo Pharaohs Kitab Nashr, Edition Khasse 2023. https://doi.org/10.17605/osf.io/ruqe3 The theory of Viral Content Propagation, developed by Yoesoep Edhie Rachmad and published in 2023 in the "Cairo Pharaohs Kitab Nashr, Edition Khasse 2023," delves into the dynamics of how content spreads across digital networks, achieving viral status. Rachmad's research, which began in 2016, seeks to understand the mechanisms behind the rapid dissemination of content among users on social media and other online platforms. The background of this theory is rooted in the digital age's escalation of information sharing, which has transformed how content is consumed and distributed. The rise of social media platforms has enabled content to travel faster and reach wider audiences than ever before. Rachmad was motivated to explore why certain content becomes viral, impacting millions globally, while other content does not achieve such widespread recognition. At the core of Rachmad's Viral Content Propagation Theory is the definition and basic concepts concerning the attributes of content that likely influence its virality. The theory posits that viral content typically embodies elements such as emotional appeal, relatability, novelty, and often a trigger that compels users to share. These elements combined create a compounding effect where content is not only seen but shared across user networks, exponentially increasing its reach. The phenomena underlying this theory include the psychological and social factors that drive individuals to engage with and disseminate content. Human emotions and the innate desire to connect with others play significant roles. Content that evokes strong emotions, whether positive or negative, tends to be shared more frequently. Similarly, content that touches on common human experiences or current, widely-discussed topics often sees higher engagement and sharing rates. Rachmad concludes that understanding the propagation patterns of viral content can significantly benefit content creators and marketers in strategizing their content deployment to maximize reach and impact. His suggestions emphasize tailoring content to evoke emotional responses and ensuring it resonates with broad or specifically targeted audiences. Additionally, the timing of content release and leveraging influential social media nodes can dramatically enhance the virality potential. Overall, Yoesoep Edhie Rachmad's Viral Content Propagation Theory offers valuable insights into the complex interplay of technology, psychology, and social interaction that defines the modern digital landscape. This understanding aids in crafting content strategies that not only capture attention but also encourage widespread and rapid dissemination across the ever-evolving digital sphere.   Table of Contents Rachmad, Yoesoep Edhie. 2023.
