Wiki Version:
This is a collection of metagenome-assembled genomes recovered from a near-surface aquifer in central Germany. The sequencing, assembly, and binning information can be found within [Overholt et al., 2021](https://www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.10.13.464073v1). The subset of MAGs included here all belong to the Candidate phylum Omnitrophica / Omnitrophota / OP3 and are discussed in detail within [Perez-Molphe-Montoya, 2022]. Within each tar.gz compressed directory, there are the manually-refined genome files (<name>-contigs.fa), predicted coding sequencing (<name>_gene_seqs.faa), all possible KO annotations (unfiltered; kofamscan_results.csv), and many default files generated by Anvi'o. The raw sequences have been deposited to the ENA under Bioproject PRJEB36505 and the assembles to Bioproject PRJEB36523. We are still waiting for the IDs to be validated, but the MAG sequences (contigs only) will also be uploaded under project PRJEB36523.
